Hi All,

I have a question about OVP for TPSM8D6B24.


I applied voltage to VOUT to check OVP.

The waveform below shows the result of slowly applying voltage to VOUT while VIN is input with 12V.

Although voltage is applied to VOUT, there is no change in VOUT. The VOUT voltage does not rise.

Instead, the VIN voltage rises. OVP does not activate.

Also, the waveform below shows the result of slowly applying voltage to VOUT while no voltage is applied to VIN.

When the VOUT voltage is gradually increased, voltage is generated at VIN via VOUT, and then the device starts up.

Since VOUT and VIN are connected by a diode, voltage is generated at VIN, but is it correct behavior for the device to start up as a result?
