We have noticed that the Epoch timer within the BQ sometimes reports a lower number than expected. The TRM suggests that the Epoch timer is always running, but over the course of a ten day test, we found some chips counted the correct number of hours, whilst others reported only a 24 or 48 hour increase. All chips were running the S12 firmware, wired bit set, not in ship mode and spent most of time in the idle state.
Under what conditions does the Epoch timer stop counting? Do things like DC, CC, ship mode, wired bit, extended idle periods, etc influence the Epoch timer?
