LM27222: GaN Driver

Part Number: LM27222
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: LMG5200

I'm going to use the LM27222 as a driver for two N-channel MOSFETs as a driver to supply the drain voltage to a GaN amplifier. The amplifiers will be used at pulsed RF signals, and the drain voltage will be pulsed at the same frequency for efficiency and heat reduction. I need to know if the LM27222 will be able to support testing using CW RF signals (constantly on).

We previously tried the LMG5200 for a pulsed DC driver, but found when using at CW the drain voltage to the amplifier sagged after a few miliseconds. We had to build a daughter card to correct the problem. We don't have room in this new application for a daughter card.

Any help/information is appreciated.

Thank you, Jim Nolan
