Other Parts Discussed in Thread: BQ76PL536

4403.slaa478 -- BMS.pdf

8750.slaa478 -- BMS.zip

I have made all the connections using the pdf attached and also loaded the code in the ZIP file which is from TI but still unable to get any data on Hyper Terminal when I send the "p" character. Please let me know where I am going wrong.

Thank You

  • It's hard to debug with very limited information.

have you follow instructions on 2.1.3.1 in the application note?

ARe you using TI EVM or your own board?

    Give me more infor.

    thanks

  • Roger,

I have followed all the instructions in the application note, I have TI EVM for BQ76 and TI development board for the MSP (MSP TS 430 PN-80-USB).

I am loading the code from TI SLAA478 and trying to view the information on the hyper terminal but aint getting any info on the hyperterminal.

    Thank You.

  • Roger,

If I try to connect the BQ76 EVM using the Aardvark Board(SPI-USB) supplied with the EVM then, I get correct results on the TI Software (bq76pl536 Evaluation).

The slaa478 code when loaded onto the MSP430 kit does not give any results on the hyperterminal even after the connections done according to the pdf (slaa478).

    Thank You

  • There are table 1 to table 5.

Can you tell me what you did?

If you select INT USB then your computer must able to source enough current to power Isolation circuits.

For now, let's skip the isolation.

You should see P6 connector on our EVM. Connect MSP430 to P6 and try.

Sometime, your notebook may not provide enough power.
