I am developing as well as supporting multiple testers for LION battery packs with various different TI chips. Most have been designed with EV-2300 communications modules but a few have NI-8541's for talking to onboard i2C memory.
I can do everything with the EV-2300 and have no problems. I have several testers that use the NI-8451 to talk on the SM Bus. I can read registers and do block reads of the data flash as well as write simple registers, but I can't seem to find the magic incantation in order to do block writes.
Has anybody done block writes to a TI chip using LabView and a NI-8451? If someone can get me going, I will write up a set of LabVIEW vi's that encapsulate the whole process much as the EV-2300 dll has.
