I'm using a BQ3060 (V14) batt management IC in a circuit almost identical to the typical application schematic, it is integrated into a 4S LiFePO4 pack. I'm seeing pack communications die sporadically, full disconnection of the cells from the BQ seems to be the only way to recover it (obviously not practical). My controller only executes reads (no writes or commands) and otherwise the non-communicating BQ3060s seem to continue operating fine (charging current seen etc), so it seems it's the SMB front-end that has the problem. Under what conditions might this failure occur? Is it possible that a mis-configuration of the .gg file might cause this?
Thanks
