Hi,
I am using LM3478 in new design.
Does this module require pull-down on the external mosfet, or does it supply the necessary voltage when in shutdown ?

hello Amnon,
What do you mean when you say "pull-down on the external mosfet"?
could you be more specific?
Thank you,
Giuseppe
Hi,
I mean that would the mosfet gate be float it might open the gate and burn the device. So it is necessary that the mosfet gate be grounded.
The question is if the voltage converted, when in shut down mode, keep the voltage low on that gate.
Thank you,
Amnon
Hello Amnon,
an internal resistor will pull-down the gate during the SD pin hence the gate will generate 0V.

Giuseppe
