Hi-
Is there a limit to the size of the decoupling capacitor that can be placed in parallel with the battery, i.e. from the BQ24001 output to ground? The data sheet shows 1.0uF while the manual for one eval board shows a 10uF 0805 ceramic and the manual for another eval board shows a 10uF tantalum. Is there an upper limit that I can take this capacitor above which would prevent the charging functions from working correctly? My implementation has a 0.1uF in this spot right now.
I ask these questions because our system has a Bluetooth module that is powered on and off with a processor controlled PMOS FET switch. The module seems to suck down a big chunk of current when it is first switched on. This causes a glitch on the battery voltage rail which in turn is sometimes kicking the reset for the processor.
Thanks,
