Hi,

My customer has already completed their paper design for 700-W interleaved PFC Preregulator using UCC28070.

But now they have to simulate it in ltspice in order to confirm their paper design.

So they had downloaded spice model of UCC28070 from Texas website, now when they are making library component for UCC28070 using LTSPICE simulation software it showing error like “too few nodes”. Since spice model is in encrypted form so it’s difficult to understand the model.

Please can you let us know,

1) Whether LTSPICE support encrypted UCC28070 Spice model and if support please let us know the procedure for making library component.

2) Is it possible to have decrypt spice model of UCC28070.

Why not use the UCC28061 for 700W ? It's more simple in it's design.

I made a 800W SMPS with the UCC28061 (only tested up to 550W). The efficiency at 500W output was around 96,5%.

Thanks for the reply.

Customer has actually dome some designs. So he will prefer the UCC28070.

Please can you advice on the LTSpice issue?

Hello Sum,

I don't think that LT spice would have a model of this device. You might try searching the eLab to see if a Tina or Spice model has been developed for this device. If not you might request that they developed one. http://www.ti.com/ww/en/analog/webench/index.shtml
