bq78PL116 reports that cell voltage is 2000mV

When the difference voltage between V(2n+1) and V(2n+2) (n=0,1,2,3) is greater than about 1.0V, V(2n+2) is reported as 2000mV.

I observed V(2n+1) voltage is 2.58V and V(2n+2) voltage is 3.6V. Then V(2n+2) voltage was reported as 2000mV.

I observed V(2n+1) voltage is 2.9V and V(2n+2) voltage is 4.1V too.

Please teach me this reason.

Sasaki-San, Were you using batteries or a resistor simulator network? I tried this test with real cells and the device continued to report properly we have seen variations when using a resistor network. Regards Tom

Tom-san,

I used 8ch DC power supply.

Bottom cell voltage was 2.9V, 2nd bottom cell voltage was 4.1V. Other cells voltage was 3.6V/cell.

At that time, 2nd bottom cell voltage was reported 2000mV.
