1). Where I can find .senc file for the same for software Bq20z75 v1.81.

2). I have Bq20z75 v180 IC, but software reads V1.81. What's the difference.

3). I have Bq20z75 v160 IC, by programming V180 .senc file to it. Is it ok.

Mohit,

1) I attached the .senc file to this post.

2) V1.81 is the firmware release version, but it was released as v180. They are the same.

3) Yes, you can update the v160 device with v180 firmware.

Thanks for your reply.

1). While programming default .dfi file it showed error.

2). When I gave path to "bq20z75_1_80.dfi" in Device Default folder & try to program it, it showed error. What is the solution for that.

Mohit,

Did you download and install the bqEVSW from the bq20z75-180 website? It will setup all of the default files that you should need.

yes I had downloaded it from TI website. You can see it in above picture, version is v1.8. But still got error in the same.

Mohit,

I would try running the setup file again, because the dfi file should have been extracted and loaded. Here it is, in case that does not work.

Tom,

Initially when I connected the device, device was working & SMBus communication was ok..

As soon as I programmed it with .dfi file provided by you above, communication fails with No_Ack s/g.

I checked the voltage at REG=2.5V & SMCLK & SMDAT =3.3V . Both Fets gets turned off. Then to check if device entered in ROM mode, i send command 08 for it but NACk & while reading 0D, it again gives nack.

I probed TOUT pins, it gives 3.23V high constant.

What could be the problem. Is it problem in .dfi file? Is the part dead now?

Mohit,

Did you send a 08 SMB CMD to take the device out of ROM mode? Trying polling after this. You may also have to exit bqEVSW and reopen.

I attached a Quick Start Guide that has a lot of good information on using the device and EVM.

Hi Thomas,

When I send command 08, it return NACK. I think part didn't accept that also.I have restarted the BQEASY also, but didn't work.

Can you check for default dfi for z75 v180. Part stopped working as soon as dfi file is programmed.
