Hi,

below, you can see a design that I maded to test the BQ2014H gas gauge.According to the application note SLUA40, I realized the software to achieve HDQ communication with BQ2014H but the presence doesn't detect after generate a break to reset the communication and after several attempts, communication is still not working. May be the problem is hardware.

that is my configuration

Hi,

As the device is power from the +3.3V rail then as long as this is above 3.0V then the device should be able to communicate based on your setup. Another thing to check is if the HDQ pull-up and MCU development board are setup to drive a solid '1' and '0'.

Can you share a scope shot of the break + command in case there is something in the master transmission thats not quite correct?

Is P4 installed?

What is the voltage on pin 16?

What is the resting voltage of the HDQ line.

Like Garry, I would like to see a scope plot .
