Can you please provide the following information for the  TPS40210DGQ part?

  1. Typical Power, (Pd typ)
  2. Maximum Power (Pd max)
  3. Thermal Resistance Junction to Ambient (Theta JA)
  4. Thermal Resistance Junction to Board (Theta JB)              
  5. Thermal Resistance Junction to Case (Theta JC)
  6. Weight

    The typical power will be a function of your electrical design.  The maximum power dissipation capability will be a function of your thermal design and ambient temperature.  If the thermal parameters are not in the datasheet, they can be requested by contacting TI's Product Information Center.  They will also be able to help research the weight.  I am intersted to understand why you need the weight.  If this becomes a common need for customers we may be able to provide a place to find the information for all ICs.  It might be easy for you to weigh a sample IC.  I think it would be a good idea for you to contact your local TI FAE or distributor FAE.  They will also be able to help you with your design details.

    Since I am not part of the project team, I do not know the application details. We are gathering the absolute values and providing the data to the thermal team for their analysis. Kindly request you to provide the necessary inputs.

    TI will be happy to assist you with getting the information you need.  The best person to facilitate this is your local FAE.  If you do not have your local FAE's contact information, the PIC will be able to assist.
