Constant current source

Hello.

I'm quite inexperienced in this field and ask for advice and help.

I need to construct a constant current source, PWM controlled, input voltage up to 3 V. Required output current (by next component) should be up to 40 mA, so lets say that I would like that current source can generate 50 mA.

Can anyone suggest a component for this use or provide any additional information?
