Difference between LM5109A & LM5109B ?

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: LM5109B, LM5109A

Hi, does anyone know the difference between LM5109A & LM5109B?  Thanks a lot.

I compared the datasheet and can't find any difference....

  • mmm

Funny that you point that out and you seem to be correct. Usually the 510xA devices are for more current than the 510xB devices, and that is why the B devices are cheaper. I don't know what happened with the 5109A and 5109B, wether this is a datasheet mistake or what, the fact is that the 5109B IS cheaper

  • The difference between LM5109A and LM5109B is extremely subtle.   The HO output of LM5109A could be undefined if VCC=0 and HB-HS>8V.  This is an odd bias condition and is difficult to achieve.  LM5109B can hold HO off under this situation.
