SM72445 I2C comunication

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: SM72445

Hello, i'm using the SM72445 in my circuit and i have the next question:

-If i build the circuit that apears into the datasheet, using the A0, A2, A4 and A6 pins to configurate the IC, may i don't use the I2C?? can i build exactly the same circuit from the datasheet? because i want a simple circuit without uC.

I'll wait for the answer, thank you very much.

Ignacio.

  • Hi Ignacio,

Absolutely, the SM72445 does not need I2C communication to function. I2C communication capability is only present for increased convenience.

  • I have a question about the ratio of resistor devider at AVIN pin and AVOUT pin, is there any rule here? In datasheet (page 9) of SM72445 says that:

AVIN is an A/D input to sense the input voltage of the SM72445. A resistor divider can be used to scale max
voltage to about 4V, which is 80% of the full scale of the A/D input

I don't understand that, can you explain more clearly for me?

    Thanks
