PFC with Programmable Power Limit

In a power supply for SOLAR Application , I want a PFC DC BUS of 400V ,with a PROGRAMMABLE POWER LIMITING FEATURE to enable an OPTIMUM UTILIZATION of PV RESOURCE.

May I know if there are any application note on PFC wih PROGRAMMABLE POWER LIMIT.

I have already gone through this earlier.I am not clear how power control could be accomplished with an external input.

I will be happy to receive more information if possible.

That is the only paper that I know of on the subject of power limiting a PFC pre-regulator.

I did not know that you wanted to limit the input power based on an external influence. This is something I have not done.

You could always try modifying the Rimo resistance by shifting in and out resistors in parallel with FETs.

Note when you are limiting the power of PFC pre-regulator you are not limiting the input power of any of the down stream converter. This means that the output of the PFC will drop out of regulation if its input power is not high enough to support the load.
