Hi All!

I am design board which used Charger IC is BQ24160 and 1.5V Regulator is TPS62361B . I am Having BQ24160EVM-721 and TPS62361BEVM-655 kit. I'm using Kernel version 2.6.35 and android 2.3.4.(With App Processor is i.MX53)

How can I obtain kernel driver for BQ24160 and TPS62361B?!

No one can help me, I had BQ24160EVM-721 board but I can't start testing because i don't have driver! Please tell me, how can i have kernel driver for BQ24160?!

TI does not provide a kernel or software driver for the bq24160 IC. You will be able to control the bq24160 EVM with the supplied software and interface box to help you understand it's functionality. You can then compare your software control with the EVM software control to ensure your programming works as expected.

We are designing Tablet use App Processor i.MX53, I am using BQ24160 for charging IC. But if Ti does not provide driver kernel for BQ24160, It is too difficult for us!

I would encourage you to contact your local distributor for programming assitance. If you can provide your company and location, TI can assist in getting you in contact with them. Texas Instruments provides several Freescale imx53 power solutions. These will be good starting points for your power design. They can be found at www.ti.com and then clicking on Power Management. You will then see the "Power and Analog for Processors and FPGA's"

If you contact TI PIC by going to www.ti.com and clicking on "contact technical support" and give them this information, they will be able to get you in contact with a distributor. Please let me know if you want me to remove your personal contact email from the forum and I can remove it for you. Some people are ok with having an email address in the forum and some aren't.

We do not provide android software for the bq24160. However, the Windows software we do provide is simply a GUI interface to make it easy to read and write to the IC's internal registers. The software does not perform any calculations or make an decisions. It only reads and writes the registers.
