Bq78pl116 short circuit Test

Hello! I am having project of the battery 48V/20A with Gas gauging IC Bq78pl116 .I have done all the calibration on the board, but the problem lies in the short circuit test.For short circuiting I used a rod of resistence 75 m-ohm & also the cells internal resistence is also 75m-ohm. So probably when I short circuited the battery the current of 500A goes through for micro-seconds. After that test HSC Flag do not turned on however Fuse got turned on. So I decided to disconnect the cells from the EVM board & try to reconnect it, But however there is problem occured in the cell balancing circuitry & it shows shorting betwwen two cells connections on the Board. So is this the short circuit test which was done on the EVM be the reason for damaging the Board? Help me out in getting rid of this problem.

    Was is the indicator that there in a short between two cells? Does the device report a cell voltage of 2000 mV for both cells? If so, the PL116 device may be damaged. Can you send a screen shot or log file that shows the problem?
