hello guys,
I have a 20z95 based BMS with intermittent AFE_C fails and want to establish what is the cause. I think its due to two reasons below, the only other reason I can think is a AFE Comms problem (that would flag AFE_C) such as poor ground, or shorting a SMB line to ground etc, which seems unlikely.
so, problem 1.
periodic r/w commands between the FG and AFE, causing errors and incrementing the AFE counter until it reaches FAIL LIMIT and trips AFE_C
problem 2.
Gain and offset values causing errors/cannot be verified between the FG and VCELL inputs of the AFE. I assume this would be differences between cell voltages? if the FG finds gain/ offset indifferencies it does a retry, after 'n' retries the AFE_C is flagged.
now, it says on SLUU264A P27 that if gain offset values are not within acceptable limits, what is an acceptable limit? is the AFE INIT LIMIT used for this ? I currently have 20 on my FG for INIT LIMIT., its marked as a counter? this is confusing.
I just want to try and alter the FG on this system and see if i can replicate these errors.
many thanks.
