R_DIS is set during discharging phase

Hi, all

I have send the command "0021" to the battery pack, but the bit "R_DIS" is set during the discharge phase. Is it normal?? If that, when will the bit "R_Dis" will be set during lifetime?

Best regards

Jason

  • What product/gauge are you using?

In general, RDIS (resistance udpates disabled) can be set during discharge if a negative resistance is calculated or if the resistance in the table is too different from the measured resistance and it tries to jump too far to learn the new value.  This can happen if your chemID doesn't match you actual battery profile or if your battery wasn't relaxed before you sent IT enable and started the discharge.

  • Hi

The gas gauge is bq20z75 v181.

The RDIS is set during the discharging, I will re-check the chemical ID..

    Best regards
