Hi,

I would like to find out how to best increase the allowable temperature range by adding RT1/RT2 as per figure 11 of the data sheet.

For figure 10

I have tried some calculation based on ITS value of 100uA, battery with NTC (25 degrre C, 10K), the voltage at the TS is 1V, is this calculation correct?

  • Hi Ivan,

The device compares the voltage on the TS pin against the internal V(LTF)=2.5V and V(HTF)=0.5V thresholds. Basically, it has internal current source of 100uA. If a voltage outside the V(LTF) and V(HTF) thresholds is, the device immediately suspends the charge.

Yes, you can increase the range by adding two external resistors as shown in the datasheet and add a 100uA into the calculations.
