Are LM2267X series regulators load dump protected for automotive environment?

Hi Mahendra,

The output voltage of LM2267X should stay within regulation during load dump as long as you used the recommended output capacitors.

Thanks. My question was does LM2267X have any protection from load dump events. i.e inputs of LM2267X.

Hi Mehendra,

The LM2267x family are rated for 42V input so it depends how severe is your load dump. This part does not have any special features to prevent Load dump event.

You can refer to AN-1930 for typical automotive application with these products (recommending TVS for for Load dump event) or AN-1533 for more details Load dump proctection circuit.
