I currently use BQ2050H for gas gauging purposes.
We have a major challenge in our product coming back from customers because gas gauge is suddenly showing low battery even though battery was successfully charged and gas gauge indicator was showing Full charge.
1. Now my understanding is that the only reason why NAC will reset to zero is if SB drops below EDV1 and there is a charge. Even if we momenatrily loose SB because of transient condition while switching between battery or external source/charging, I can not duplicate the NAC going down to zero suddenly but it happens a lot in the field and hence we ave returns on the product.
2. The other reason NAC is reset is if power goes down for 15 seconds and I have RBI floating. It is impossible to think that connection breaks for 15 second automatically.
Should I still be connecting RBI?
3. Is there any reason to think using BQ2050 will be better than BQ2050H?
Thank you for your response.
