TLC5947 SPI

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TLC5947

What is the best way to avoid reflections/ringing on the SPI lines of cascaded TLC5947's?  I've seen/heard of using resistors in series or parallel, but what values work well  and what should be considered when laying out a board?  I am planning on running around 10-15 MHz.

  •  Hello Shaya,

I recommend you to try to insert about 10 ohm resistor between your controller output and 1'st device input terminal of cascaded TLC5947s.

Also I recommend to add 1~10K ohm resistor between the last of cascaded devices and ground.

When you route PCB pattern, the high frequency signal line should be routed as short and straght as possible.

    Thank you and best regards,
