I am using 5inches tft lcd.For back light i required 20v,40mA supply.So iam planning to use tps61040 power ic using PWM based configuration.I want to change R2 resistor from 60 ohm to 30 ohm.

Please give me suggestion whether it will work or not.

The amount of output power you can provide depends on the input voltage. At higher input voltages, the TPS61040 can provide that much output power. Go through the equations in the datasheet to make sure it will work for your application.

This should be a sufficiently high voltage for your output power needs.
