Hi,

I'm looking for a charger IC for 1 to 4 cell lipo batteries in our applications. The devices are always connected to the mains (DC, or adapter). Battery is expected to work only when mains power is off.

- What should be used; standalone or host controlled? What is the difference between them in application?

- How is the system voltage(Vsys) calculated in charger ICs? (i.e. bq24610)
