BQ24170 Usage Clarifications

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: BQ24170

Hai Support,

I am using BQ24170 in our design for battery charging and also for power path management. I have attached PDF for your review, it would be better if you can check and let me know if I have missed anything in this. The input voltage is 12V and I am using single cell configuration [4.2V/4400mA]. Charging current is 1A and total current is 4A from the adapter. I have few below questions which needs to be clarified.

1. If I connect input voltage as 12V and put it for single cell configuration. How is the output voltage controlled to output 4.2V and what is the feedback path.

2. Output Current sense resistor of 0.02 ohms is used instead of 0.01 ohms by changing the ISET resistor values? Is this ok for constant charge current of 1A with different ISET voltage divider?

3. TTC pin charging capacitor used is 100nF. How to calculate how much time it takes for charging the battery of 4400mA.

Regards,

Erfan
