Hello!
In our device, we are utilizing "Nexergy" and " Micropower" batteries build on bq20Z80 and later our batteries-supplier switch on bq20z95.
I also know that TI improved Impedance Track algorithm in the past, but we still experiencing wit fault FCC reporting. Host controls power managment board-charger/selector( LTC1760).
HOST designed to run on Internal and Detachable batteries so– Internal batteries always in backup/standby mode Batteries and never (or ones in a while…) goes in to Full Cycle. It can be just luck of AC (lead to the deep discharge) or luck of “Full Charge” (FC Flag is set) or “Full Discharge” (FD Flag is set) when Battery charge runes somewhere between 30-60% and AC is shutdown (you can see it in the device log files a lot!)
Also I was able simulate phenomena when the healthy Battery (FCC=4100) after AC has been removed and unit runes short time on Battery (with 40% of charge) then upgraded to the AC source- sudden drooped down FCC almost twice! How could you explain that?
95% of the batteries returned from the field in to our Product Investigation Lab, after “relearning/recycling has been restored to the designed Full Charge Capacity.
Some has hi Cycle Counts but still "healthy" and showing good number.
I can provide all data and results of my Investigation.
I will thankful any professional help because it is on going problem (almost for two years!) with no solutions from our batteries supplier. They simply return are complains as "no problems has been found"
Thank you,
