what is the input current required to run this charge pump?
what is quiescent current?
The input current will depend of the current you take from each output, and the efficiency for each output.
The quiescent current appears in the datasheet, 50uA typ.
I know that quiescent current appears in the datasheet. but what it is? Is it the input current required for charge pump to work?
Does the input current has to exceed the output current for charge pump to work?
Does the charge pump builds up voltage only or voltage and current?
Regarding quiescent current, it is the current consumed by the internal parts of the power supply EVEN if you don't have no load at all.
The power supply makes a conversion. In the conversion the output power = input power - losses, or output power = input power * efficiency, where the eff. is always a number <= 1.
So the input current = (output voltage * output current) / (eff. * input voltage)
You have to repeat the calculation for each output voltage, the total input current will be the sum of three calculated input curr., one for each voltage.
