Hello Randy,
If you click on the Ignore button, does the Device Menu contain an entry for the FT2232-0 under the Detected Devices heading (as in the following image)?
If not, there is an issue with the device driver installation; otherwise, the problem is likely a SMBus/PMBus communication problem between the FTDI host adapter and the slave device.
In the case of a device driver issue, please attempt to re-install the device drivers from the "Start->Texas Instruments SPM_GUI-0.9.40..." menu.
For SMBus/PMBus communications issues, use an oscilloscope to determine if the SCL and SDA signals are present immediately after launching the GUI. If not, the problem is likely with the host adapter or the SMBus/PMBus cable; otherwise, the EVM may have been damaged.

John
Hi, John
Thanks for reply me, if I click the Ignore button, I can enter in the Device Menu, but I can't detected the device when I use PMBus. And I can't install the driver at Win7 or WinXp.
Best Regards,
Randy Wang
Hello Randy,
I'm glad to help.
In order to install the device drivers you must have administrator privileges on your computer.
With Win7 you can install the device drivers using the windows administrator mode, e.g., right-click the driver installation application and select "Run as administrator". Note: Occasionally, you may need to repeat this operation twice for the drivers to be successfully installed.
With WinXp, installing the device drivers should work whenever the user has administrator privileges.
Once the device drivers are installed, simply disconnect and reconnect the FT2232 from the USB port. After a few moments, relaunching the GUI should result in a properly functioning system.
If this issue remains unresolved, please provide me with screen images of the warning/error message(s) that you encounter whenever you attempt to install the device drivers.
Best Regards,
John
