DCR0505U in channel to channel isolation for a 8 channel Analog Input Board

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: DCP020505

Dear Sir,

1) I have a requirement of Input and Channel to Channel isolation of 1000V RMS on my analog inputs of a 8 channel Board. There are total of 19 boards in my system like this board.

2) In order to provide channel to channel isolation, i have to isolate the power and ground of each channel. For this purpose isolated DC to DC converter is required. But if i use 19*8= 152 isolated DC to DC converters in my system, i am worried that it will degrade my high accuracy analog performance ad also radiated noise may lead to problems in EMI/EMC qualifications.

3) I selected DCR010505U as DC to DC converter because it has a SYNC pin, through which i can enable and disable the DCR010505U whenever i want. As i am reading the channels serially, i will enable a particular DCR010505U at the time of reading the data of a particular channel only and then i will disable it. I want your suggestion in this regard.. Whether my understanding of DCR010505U is correct. ? What are the possible disadvantages of doing like this? Whether i will be able to reduce the noise of the system and prevent noise to spoil my analog performance if i implement like this?

4) I request you to guide me  and tell me a better solution to provide channel to channel isolation because this is the best i could find...

Thanks you,

Ankit
