Dear Sir,

i am using PMP3661 design circuit for 24W, 42V @ 700mA, in that current harmonics, ATHD at 230Vac is 27% and at 200Vac is 22%.

Please provide a solution how to improve the ATHD to less than 10%. and the same circuit can i use it for 35W, 36V @ 1A.

could you pls double check the PMP nr?

the PMP3661 is not present in our library...

could you provide its schematic / material and, more important, where did you find it??

hi,

attached you can find the design files and test documentation on PMP3661.

If the design is followed correctly, there is no reason the distortion can become that high.

Hello,

May I ask the outcome of improving PMP3661 to supply 35W, 36V @ 1A. output?

That is what I need to drive 4 LED strings.

It is my first time to learn about PMP5732 and it fits my requirement, but with some modifications.

May I ask Gerber files or pictures of PMP5732?

yep, the board has been build and tested on the pcb of another project, the PMP5560, in attachment...

But it fails to load on GerberLogix V2.1.

Could you recommend proper tool to view the files?

What CAD tool do I need to view schematics and pcb files included in the zip file you have provided?

the two schematics of PMP5732 / PMP5560 were both made with Menthor PADs,

while the layout of PMP5560 was made with P-CAD

Here is what I found from comparing schematics and BOM of PMP5560 and PMP5732.

For PMP5732;

1. C101(1200uF, 45V) added.

2. Circuitry for PWM/Analog Dimming(R102, R103 and C102) added.

3. Circuitry for Shutdown(D101, R101 and U101) added.

Here is my questions;

1. Since C101 is fairly large, the PMP5560 PCB need extra space to house it. Could you provide me with Gerber files of PMP5732?

You already sent me Gerber files of PMP5560.

2. Is PMP5732 capable of both of PMW and analog dimming?

2.1 Which would be better - dimming on PMP5732 or dimming from a separate board with 4 ch LED driver such as LM3464 ?

This separate board will have its own power supply(universal AC input, 3.3VDC, 500mA) and CC2530 for RF communications.

3. What is the use of shutdown circuitry? What would you recommend to try for TBD(To Be Defined) parts?

4. Is T1(FB transformer) the same one used in PMP5560?

5. Which tech meterial would you recommend to understand the operating principles of the curcuits?

I may need minor(around 10%) changes of output voltage and current.
