BQ2002 datasheet state diagram question

Hi team,

I have some questions on the TM pin and need verification on the INH pin.

1) Wouldn't the part go into trickle mode at higher voltage from the thermistor not lower?

2) What is the polarity on the INH pin in normal operation?

thanks in advance for the help

  • 1)      Wouldn't the part go into trickle mode at higher voltage from the thermistor not lower?

Since the thermistor is a Negative Temperature Coefficient thermistor the resistance actually decreases with increasing temperature. Thus at high temperature the NTC resistor is low and Vts is low.

    2)      What is the polarity on the INH pin in normal operation?

The INH pin is low at normal operation and can be configured high to inhibit fast charging.
