TPS84250 load response

Hello,

Does anybody know how fast is load response of the TPS84250?

I was not able to find this information(or reference to compensation mode) to define how fast TPS84250 will be able switch from "light" load to the 2A application load.

Hi Oleksiy,

From the TPS84250 datasheet:

Transient Response	1.0 A/µs load step from 50 to 100% Iout(max)	Recovery time	400	µs
Transient Response	1.0 A/µs load step from 50 to 100% Iout(max)	Vout over/undershoot	90	mV

Hi,

Thanks for your answer I see the value. But frankly saing I was expecting more fast response from TPS84250 with 1MHz fsw.. If I compare it with LMZ14203 with fsw =1MHZ also, see transient response for LMZ14203 below (figure was taken from datasheet), The LMZ14203 has ~ 200us recovery time. does it mean that these IC has different control mode?

The operating conditions you are comparing are different.

The TPS84250 is spec'd at 400kHz switching frequency. That is the recommended switching frequency for 24V input to 3.3V output.
