accidentally write 27520 golden data to 27510 EVM board

Hi everyone,

After I wrote 27520 golden data flash image file to 27510 EVM board accidentally,

27510 EVM seems to be locked to 0x16 address mode (0xAA originally). Then power

it down and everything has been lost. Should I send EVM board

back to TI or any other methods I could do it myself?

Thanks

Steve

  • Hi Steve,

Unfortunately the IC is now bricked and you will need to replace the IC or else get a new EVM.  The firmware expects certain values to be in certain locations in the dataflash and if you load a dataflash image that doesn't match the firmware running then it can cause undesired operation and eventually go off in the weeds and lock up as you found.
