UCC28950 with more MOS in parallel

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: UCC28950

Hello everybody!

I've some doubts about the UCC28950 application note and excel spreadsheet...

Could anyone help me to understand how to modify the MOS power losses equations if I put more MOS in parallel rather than one?

I need to use small MOS (D2Pak) rather than one big, and, due to estimated power losses, I need to put more components in parallel...

To avoid to change too many eqautions, I prefer to use evaluated currents and to put the parameters of the "equivalent MOS"...

I can imagine the following:

- rDS will be divided by n (where n is the number of components put in parallel)

- Coss will be multiplied by n

- Gate charge Qg will be multiplied by n

What about the charges at the beginning and at the end of the Miller plateau?

Thank you very much for your help!
