Buck Converter with LOAD DUMP

Hi,

Kindly suggest a suitable device for the following specs:-

Input = 6V to 32VDC

Output = 5V at 2.5 Amps, with Load dump protection upto 150V.

Protections reqd = Over current and Short circuit

    Hi Atul.

    How long it is this load dump?
    I don't think there are availables IC able to work with these high voltages.

    You've to limit your spike in other ways and then regulate with a "normal" IC...
    If load dump is not so long you can look for tranzorbs...

    On 24V ECU, we usually put a tranzorb on the DC link and the load dump is in the range 200-400ms...
