Low ripple DC Power supplies

Hi,

We were looking to design a power supply for the following application. Please let us know the suitable components which we could use in building this circuit. Also let us know about the application notes for the same.

1. Input voltage: 230VAC

2.Output voltage:+5V, 1.5A; +15V,1A; -15V,250mA

3.Load regulation:Better than +/- 0.2%

4.Line regulation:Better than +/- 0.1%

5.Residual ripple: Less than 10mV peak to peak

Thanks for your time.

Regards,

  • because of the low output power (30W, more or less), the best topology (in terms of tradeoff between costs and performance) is a flyback with a auxiliary windings on the secondary to achieve the multioutput option...

you can look at the library http://www.ti.com/lsds/ti/analog/powermanagement/reference_design.page for the closest design (likw the PMP5137 at the link http://www.ti.com/tool/pmp5137.2) and then tune it up to full fit your needs...
