  • Hello Jayakumara,

    1.This IC specifies a maximum allowed ambient temperature of 85degC.  Since the device draws so little power (uA), the ambient temperature is assumed to be the junction temperature. Therefore Tj max = 85 degC

    2. This depends on the operating conditions. Power=VDD*IDD. IDD will change based on how much load there is RESET. Note: it is recommended to sink at most 50uA on RESET.

    3. This depends on the ambient temperature and can be found on page 3 of the datasheet described as Power rating. This is the maximum power dissipated by the IC so as to not exceed the maximum junction temperature.

    4. If you use the recommended operating conditions, there will little power dissipated by the IC. Therefore, the theta JA, JB, and JC value is useless in an application becuase the temperature rise is insignificant.  Nonetheless, the theta JA is actually the inverse of the derating factor on page 3 of the datasheet.
