TPS65217 GUI Installation Issues

Hello,

I have downloaded the lastest TPS65217 GUI software (slvc.402.zip). I have unzipped the software and tried to install the software (Ifollowing the instrucitons in the TPS65217_GUI_software_installation.pdf) . When I click on the setup.exe file I immediately get a Windows Explorer has stopped working error. the .exe fails to run and eventually the desktop resets itself and reappears.

We tried on a co-workers computer (same model and same OS) with the same effect. We tried on an old XP machine laying around and the Gui installed succesfully. Unofrtunately we cannot use this machine for evaluation of the eval board.

Computer: T420 Lenova laptop with Windows 7...

Any ideas or solutions?

Eric,

I'm not sure why you would have this sort of problem. Certainly we don't see that on our end.

Could you delete the slvc402 file that you downloaded (and anything from it) and start over. After removing it, go back to the TI website and re-download. We actually do have a new version of the software on the website now. Though, obviously, the older version should not have caused problems.

After re-downloading, make sure and unzip the entire folder into a new folder. Then go from there. Hopefully it will work for you the second time around.

Where exactly do I find this software? I have TPS65217CEVM but can't locate the software anywhere.
