Hi,
Using LP8556-E09, with IMAX set to 23mA but I need a maximum brightness of 25mA to drive my LED strings.
Is it correct to do my calculation as show below?
"1111 1111 1111" (8bit CFG0 (LSB)+ 4bit CFG1 (MSB)) = Maximum current thru LED = (4095/4095) x IMAX x 20000 x 1.2/RISET => 25mA = (4095/4095) x 23mA x 20000 x 1.2/RISET which gives RISET a value of 22.08K?
From my interpretation in table 3, the resistor value can be set from 12k to 100k meaning Imax (23mA) can be set lower than the current thru LED (25mA) as long as the resistor value is within specified range.
