Which battery charge management IC should we use?

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: BQ2002

Hello

We are using a high frequency (100KHz) AC bus to charge  four 1V2 NiCd cells in series with a charging current of 450mA…..(this charging current is  with a 200KHz haversine  waveform)

We are coupling into the 100KHz bus with an  inductive coupler, and this gives  us an output current (as mentioned, 450mA)………this obviously gets rectified.

We cannot change this charging current, we can only turn it on and off…..turning it off is done by shorting the secondary of the current  transformer (the coupler).

So when the battery has finished charging we must short out the secondary of the current transformer with a mosfet (coupler).

Anyway, given our setup, which charge managenent controller would you suggest?

Our  project manager thinks we should use bq2002, but that is for a minimum of C/2 charging isn’t it?…..we are doing C/10 charging.
