We would like to use this device under the following conditions.
Vin: 3.6 to 6V
Vout: 48V
Iout: 42mA
Please let me clarify whether we could realize this configuration with TPS61170.
If possible, please let me clarify which components on the Figure should be changed.

That circuit should be fine as is for your needs. With your reduced output current needs, you can operate down to lower input voltages.
Be sure to build and test it before you go to production.
