Hello, I'm working on a feasability study to integrate wireless charging on one of our product, in fact I simply want to switch the bq24040 with a bq51050 :)
I'm not an expert in magnetism and so want some contact information of society capable to design and produce custom coils, even for low volume (around 20k pieces/year).
I have "high" mechanical constraints, a coil near 30mm radius and 1mm thickness shielding included could be great, of course smaller is better. The connection is "problematic", I can't use direct wire connection (like standard coil from Whishay or Mingstar), but I thinck pogo pin could be used (in fact the module could be oppened in two parts, coil on one side, electronics on the other). The system only requires low current less than 100mA.
Did you have any advices?
Heat generated is a concern to, as I can't add some heat sink but the whole system is in a metalic frame. Is it possible to have some simulation made?
Is ESD on coil a problem with wireless power?
