Hi, this may be an obvious question, but what is a simple and accurate method to measure the efficiency of my tps40200 circuit?

Also, does anyone have a good source for high-temp inductors (ie 150C ~ 200C range)?

    Hi Martin,

    Measuring the efficiency can be done very easily. There are four measurements you need: the input voltage, input current, output voltage and output current. Typically the voltages are measured right at the board. This is because the currents can load to voltage drops affecting the accuracy of the measurement. With these measurements efficiency is calculated with Efficiency = Vout*Iout/(Vin*Iin) * 100%.

    For your second question, I'm unsure of high-temp inductors.
