Question on the LMR70503, negative supply

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: LMR70503

Hello John,

thank you very much for your reply. I have a further question. If you always need a negative voltage to generate a negative voltage, do you know how the LMR70503 (http://www.ti.com/product/lmr70503) works? As far as I understand, there is no negative power supply.

Thanks!

  • Hello Yue,

The LMR70503 is a SIMPLE SWITCHER device.  I will move your post to the appropriate forum so they can provide greater insight into its operation.

  • Yue,

Yes, the LMR70503 is an inverting buck boost converter. It converts positive input voltage (2.8V to 5.5V) to negative output voltage (-0.9V to -5.5V). The peak inductor current is about 350mA.

What is the input voltage, output voltage and load level in your application? I can help you with the LMR70503.

    regards,
