I have designed a power supply using the LM37342MY, based on the circuits shown on the data sheet and a webench design. My only change was an attempt to create a slight delay on power up. I connected a 10k resistor to Vin , connected it to a 100 nF cap to ground and connected EN between the resistor and cap. When I power it up with no load the enable circuit seems to draw bunches of current.
I designed a small printed circuit board with only the power supply circuit and have verified the board to my schematic, to the schematics in the data sheet and checked the components on the board. Repeatedly.
I have a small current limited adjustable supply for test.
At 2.5V on Vin and no load the supply outputs 0.5A. The 10k resistor from Vin to EN drops 1.25V so EN is below the threshold to turn the supply on. This indicates a load from EN of 125 uA.
The data sheet indicates that EN draws 50 to 100 uA with Vin = Ven = 20V and draws 6 to 15 uA with Ven = 3v.
Any ideas?
