bq3060 Over-discharged, won't wake up

I was testing my board when I over-discharged my pack and it shut down. This has never been a problem before, I just remove the load and it self-recovers after a short time. This time it isn't coming back. I tried giving it a charge, which it takes, but there's no SMBus communication and the DSG FETs are off.

Is there a way to "revive" a dead part?

You could try resetting the device. Either remove power and reattach. Or, you could temporarily short REG27 to VSS to reset the part. You will need to apply power to Pack+ afterwards to wake it up in either case.

Removed power, paused many seconds, reconnected the cells. Connected it to a current-limited power supply and charged it with 100mA for 10-20 seconds. Nothing.

While getting the part working again is important, more so is, why did it happen? Can this have happened if my shut-down values were bad?
