bqEVSW for BQ28400 Run Time Error '13'

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: BQ28400, BQEVSW

Dear all,

I have bq Evaluation Software  Version 0.9.75 installed on Windows XP SP3.

After read Data Flash from BQ28400 via EV2300 programmer (SMB interface) an error occurs (Run Time Error '13') every time and after that software closes.

It happens when I select Calibration Tab after read Data Flash or when I open this tab and than perform Read All.

What does this error mean?

I thought that maybe something is wrong with bq28400 calibration on my board , so I tried to write default settings to bq28400 but it also failed.

When I set default setting by Data Flash ->Show Default and then perform Write All the bq EVSW shows massage: "The last 'Read All'  had error ...... An automatic 'Read All' will be initiated!"  After that I have the same Run Time Error '13'.

Is there any way to write default settings to Data Flash of bq28400 ?

Thanks for help.

best regards,

Andrii

  • Hi Andrii,

    I will suggest uninstalling and reinstalling the EV software. The EVM works on my system without the issues you described. If you still see the same problem, send your email address and I will email you the default senc file. This will load the default settings to the data flash.

  • Dear Onyx,

    Thank for answer!

    The problem was that some uncorrected data were programmed to BQ28400 during calibration. I did not know how to come back to default values because bqEVSW showed this error every time on a few computers with different  Windows OS. Fortunately, I found the solution, strange way but it works.

    So, to program Data Flash with default values, I performed next steps:

    - Open Data Flash tab in bqEVSW (0.9.75)

    - Data Flash-> Show defaults

    - File->Export default.gg

    - File->Import default.gg

    - Write All

    After that the default values were programmed to BQ28400 and it works ok now.

    Problem is resolved.
